John Nixon A 88-year-old SAS veteran who rescued a young woman from two knife-wielding robbers today said: Fear is not in my dictionary.
Plucky John Nixon brought down one of the thugs with a karate-chop to the neck but was the slashed in the hands and head by his accomplice.
The stunned attackers fled as their victim ran away screaming. Mr Nixon was rushed to hospital by ambulance after a neighbour raised the alarm.
He told the Standard he stepped in after seeing the youths grab at the womans handbag and clothes in Raglan Street, Kentish Town.
